Peikko was responsible for the foundation design with the structural calculations, and delivered all of the steel components to 80 wind turbine foundations. The deliveries included FATBAR® rock anchors, tower adapter plate with tower flange connection bolts, drilling templates- and assembling system, special reinforcement steel technology.
The developer and future owner of Roan wind park is Fosen Vind DA, a joint venture between the Norwegian TrønderEnergi and Statkraft, and Nordic Wind Power DA, formed by an European investor consortium of Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners and Swiss BKW AG. The project will be executed by Statkraft. Storheia wind park is a part of the Fosen Vind, wind power project. Fosen Vind is Europe's largest land-based wind power project, consisting of six wind farms with a combined capacity of 1,000 MW.
Veidekke ASA is the general contractor of the civil earthwork and infrastructure, and will also carry out the technical assembly of steel components and casting works of the Peikko Rock Anchor Foundations. Vestas shall deliver 80 of their V117-3.6MW turbines with hub heights of 87 meters. The wind park is estimated to be operational during 2019.
